Five Favorite Spring Trends
Spring is right around the corner which means it's time to start cleaning out your closet to make room for new Spring pieces! (read my tips for cleaning out your closet HERE)! It’s the best feeling to finally not have to bundle up and go outside after a long winter. Say goodbye to puffy jackets and hello to Springtime hues and slingback shoes. Spring is in the air and it is about time to welcome new trends into your wardrobe. Polka Dots: With the come back of the ever popular polka dot, I can’t help myself but fall in love with this print all over again. I used to think polka dots were a print that made me feel like a little girl. But now I feel like these playful dots bring so much life to my closet! I can't get enough! Here are a few of my fave polka dotted pieces!
Monochromatic looks: We all love that all black outfit that makes us feel like a total rockstar. Monochromatic outfits can be much more than just wearing all black everything. My personal favorites for Spring are full red or white looks. With Spring being the perfect season for white pants, white monochromatic sets are a go to and are so chic and effortless. It's an outfit that is simple yet looks so put together. You don't have to worry if it matches, white ALWAYS matches with white (off white works with white too)! I'm also having a major moment with red. A full red look is so bold, sexy, classy and sophisticated. I'm obsessed! Below are a few of my favorite red and white pieces to create that simple and chic look we all strive for!
Pastels: As I'm sure you've heard, lavender is the color of the season. But let's be real, I really think any shade of pastel is perfect this Spring, especially lavenders and pinks! The colors themselves carry a soft feel that is perfect for that transition from spring to summer. Here are a couple of my favorite pastel looks that will transform your Spring wardrobe!
Subtle Floral: I was never much of a floral girl until recently. I always felt like I would draw so much attention with these huge bright flowers printed all over my clothing. But, these subtle florals we're seeing a lot for Spring are so feminine, airy and beautiful! Subtle hints of this pattern make any plain outfit looked styled from head to heel. Below are a few of my favorite floral touches to spice up any outfit!
Kitten Heels: I know we would all like to think we can walk in those gorgeous 5-inch stilettos that are collecting dust in the closet. However, a few twisted ankles and scrunched toes later we finally admit that these heels, no matter how gorgeous they are, are not the most sensible. That's exactly why I am so happy that kitten heels are making a comeback! This season I am ditching my 5-inch heels that I barely want to walk a block with and slipping into something that is just as chic. Here are a few of my favorite kitten heels!
