Those of you who live in the Midwest know that this last week or so was like magic! It went from horrible, freezing, crazy, awful winter straight to beautiful Spring in a matter of what felt like seconds! So, I think... or I hope that means that THIS marks my last winter coat post for many many months!
But it's a special coat post... This coat was my Bubbys. She wasn't often in winter weather but when she was, she was wearing this coat. When she wore it, the coat was floor length with a large collar and much too large on me. My mom and I didn't want to get rid of it because it reminded us so much of her. A coat she wore often, filled with great memories and so fitting for such a stylish, fabulous lady. So, instead of it sitting in storage for many many years, we had the coat made into this shorter coat and also a vest so that we could wear it. Neither of us are fur gals per say. But, this was a different fur coat. A special fur coat and we love it (them). We even had her original monogram sewn into the inside. So, the (hopefully) last coat post of the winter had to be a special one.
I paired my most special coat with a simple white silk tank, cropped jeans, black pumps, a faux snakeskin clutch that was also my Bubbys, two Just The 2 Of Us necklaces and the only hot pink item in my closet, this awesome hand knit beanie!
