Give a damn and look good doing it with one of my favorite lines, n:Philanthropy

At the n:Philanthropy headquarters last week in LA

About a year ago, I stumbled upon a fairly new line called n:Philanthropy. (If you follow me on Instagram, you've surely seen me wear their clothes many many times! ex. HERE, HERE & HERE) I quickly gathered that this line perfectly fit my life and style... Little did I know, so does their entire brand. n:Philanthropy launched in January 2014 with of goal of doing good (more on this below), looking good and designing exactly what they wanted to wear. They believe you shouldn't have to sacrifice style for wearability and why should we!? Before I found this line, I refused to leave the house in what I'd call "sweats". This line reflects what they call, comfort-consciousness and they say the n:Philanthropy girl should be able to look effortless and feel like a badass. Well, I completely agree! (Proof of me out of the house and feeling comfortable, cute and frankly, badass in n:Philanthropy not so "sweats" HERE) It's rare now that a day goes by without me wearing a piece from this line.

Browsing the racks at the headquarters

Last week, when I was in LA, I visited the n:Philanthropy headquarters, met the team and of course, browsed the racks. The clothes are to die for, but the causes they support make them that much better. This is where their slogan "Give a damn and look good doing it" comes from. Who says you can't do good and look good at the same time? This was a huge part of owner Yvonne Niami's goal in starting n:Philanthropy. She named the line this because she wanted people to know, this wasn't JUST fashion. In fact, she combined two of the things most important to her to create the line... fashion and philanthropy. She is a giver by nature and has been extremely charitable for many years. This didn't change when she launched n:Philanthropy back in 2014. 10% of net proceeds are donated to the Children's Hospital LAASPACA (American Society for the prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and other local animal charities. Ok ok, so I was already sold on the clothing, but once I learned how charitable this line is, I was completely hooked.

The n:Philanthropy headquarters in DTLA

When I visited the offices last week, I met the owner, Yvonne (pictured below), the director of operations, Carolyn and a few other team members. They were all so kind and welcoming! It was so fun to get to learn more about this line that I live in from the women who created it. It's so refreshing to find these kind of people in an industry that often gets a bad wrap.

The inside of my new faux fur coat embroidered with "rebel with a cause" ummm... obsessed!!!

n:Philanthropy focuses on "updated basics, faux furs, vegan leathers and deconstructed sweaters" pretty much, everything I want to wear every day. From their basic t-shirts and tanks to their amazing vegan leather fringe skirts (I wore one HERE) they've got the comfort and wearability thing down pat! Everything is tailored to fit great and look great out of the house, but also comfortable enough to sleep in. Yup, I'm into it.

A huge THANK YOU to n:Philanthropy for having me last week and for allowing me to be a part of your story!
