A Casual Holiday Look & My Holiday Travel Plans

pink velvet skirt

The Holiday season always comes and goes so quickly. I love all the holiday parties, the time with family and friends and of course, the excuse to get dressed up. This season I am loving velvet. Here, I paired THIS gorgeous blush velvet skirt from one of my favorite local boutiques, Alice and Wonder with THIS simple cropped sweater and my go-to hat. I decided on a simple black bootie and a fun pop with a great bag from Shop Suey Boutique. Even with all the excitement of the holidays… the thing I always tend to look forward to the most is holiday travel.

I come from a family of avid travelers and share the same wanderlust. As you know, my bags are always packed and I love exploring new places as well as returning often to my favorite places. I’m so excited to finally share with you guys where my family is headed in two weeks!!! We’re going to Morocco!!!!!… with a 3 day stopover in Geneva to meet my newest baby cousin, Luca! We’ve been planning this trip for many months and I can’t believe it’s just around the corner. Morocco has been at the top of my travel bucket list for years and I’m am just so beyond excited to explore that colorful country!!!

There is so much planning and coordinating that goes into a big trip. To help the planning, I’ve been working with Shefari, a luxury travel boutique. They’ve ensured that our hotel reservations all along the way have been well researched and highly recommended. We really like staying at small, local boutique hotels and the Riads that Shefari helped us find look great. I can’t wait to see these places!!!

We’ll start in the northern part of Morocco in Chefchaouen, aka The Blue City , then we will travel to Fez and Marakesh and end up in the windy coastal town of Essaouira. Coming from a windsurfing family, every trip we take involves some element of world wide wind chasing and this trip is no exception. When I was 9, we traveled to a really windy spot in Italy where my parents enrolled me in windsurfing camp…I was the only American..the only English speaker and the only girl. I had a blast!! I’m not sure windsurfing camp awaits me in Morocco but I’m excited for all the adventures that lie ahead.

If any of you have recommendations for the places we are traveling, I would love to hear them all! As always, follow along on our adventures every day on Instagram and I’ll be writing tons post vacation about this destination that I can’t wait to learn more about! Now, let’s go to Morocco!!!!
