Confidence is Key
There are so many factors that go into putting together outfits for different types of occasions. You factor in the weather, the location, the people you'll be with... the list could go on and on. I've spent a lot of time putting together looks for so many different kinds of occasions. Whether it be something overwhelming, like a job interview or first date or something more relaxed like a dinner with girlfriends or a day of shopping... we always have to put together an outfit of some sort.
All other factors aside, there is one thing that I have found is the key to putting together any look for any sort of occasion and that is confidence. Confidence is something we all have within us whether you're dealing with the cockiest of humans, or the most humble, I believe that each and every one of us has at least a little bit of confidence hiding somewhere within us. The key to bringing out that confidence? Feeling good.
When getting dressed (no matter what it be for), set aside all other factors and ask yourself, do I feel good in this outfit? If the answer is yes, you will exude confidence and you will look amazing. If you're not feeling great in an outfit, no matter what other people think... change! You'll second guess yourself the whole time you're out of the house if you don't (trust me... I've made this mistake many many times) and your confidence levels will totally be lacking.
One thing that's important to remember is that the most important opinion in putting together an outfit is your own. I always ask my Mom and brother for their opinion when putting together an outfit... But the truth is, nobody can feel how you feel. Everything is subjective, other people may not love your look like you do... but all that matters is that you do! If you feel great in something, you'll look great in it and that confidence of yours will shine through! Trust me, you'll be the best dressed person in the room.
