Ok, so let’s be honest, everyone has their silly little quirks. Me, maybe a little more than the average person.. I’m not picky about many things but there are a few things that I cannot stand and a few things I cannot stand to be without.
First, let’s talk a little bit about hand lotion. You guys, I can not stand having dry hands or listening to the sound of dry skin touching dry skin. Weird? Maybe. But I’m telling you... I don’t go a day let alone an hour without my L’Occitane shea butter hand cream. I literally cannot fall asleep without it. You don’t want to be next to be when I figure out I forgot my hand lotion. It’s cause for one unhappy Ali… It’s seriously the most moisturizing hand cream I’ve ever tried. The texture is so rich and it never leaves your hands feeling oily, it completely eliminates that dry skin feeling (and sound) and leaves your hands SO soft. You could say I’m addicted… You can buy it at Sephora and it comes in two different sizes, a travel size (perfect for your carry on) and the large size. You’ll probably want to buy 10 of each… Just sayin.
Next, let’s touch on Chai Tea. I don’t drink coffee… Ever. I don’t like it. But I do have a chai tea problem. I crave it the same way I crave my hand lotion. I didn’t know you could love a drink but, I do. It’s a very rare day that I go without a chai.
Alright, now onto the things I can’t stand... I am absolutely, 100% terrified of pigeons. Not spiders, not sharks… pigeons. Something about them just really gets to me. It’s quite a funny sight to see my run into a pigeon on the sidewalk. I’ve actually watched grown women laugh at me as I twitch, duck and run away from a flying pigeon. It’s the sad, embarrassing truth…
Ok you guys, this is such a weird one but in the spirit of being honest, here we go. I hate listening to someone breathe when I sleep. Snoring I don’t mind so much. But when I’m sleeping in the same room as someone who breathes loudly out of their mouth, it irks me like none other. I don’t even like listening to Obi breathe… So, I sleep with earplugs. Every. Single. Night. Don’t even get me started on the sleep mask. I look like an alien in my sleep, for sure.
Lastly, let’s talk about my quirks with tomatoes… I’m the least picky eater. I love pretty much everything… except tomatoes. Now, here’s the weird part. Give me marinara sauce, ketchup, tomato soup, shakshuka… I love it all. But hand me a raw tomato? No thank you!!!
What are some of your silly little quirks? I’d love to hear them! Also! Buy your 20 tubes of L’Occitane Shea Butter hand cream below and thank me later.
