Festival Season Outfit Ideas
Festival season is in full swing and I'm getting excited! This year for the first time in many years I'm heading to Lollapalooza! I'm SO excited to see Greta Van Fleet (I saw them in London and they were UNREAL), Bruno Mars, James Bay, Walk The Moon and SO many more! One of the things I love about music festivals is the fashion... DUH! I love it because anything goes! You could show up in jeans and a t shirt, a paper bag, glitter and a tutu or a gorgeous dress and fab shoes and nobody would look at you weirdly! It's the perfect time to put fun outfits together and take some fashion risks! I started thinking a bit about my options and what I want to wear to Lolla this year! I put together 3 fun, fairly simply outfit ideas that you festival go-ers (or non festival goers could easily re-create, feel comfortable and look GREAT! Are you heading to festivals this Summer!? Who are you excited to see!?
Outfit Idea 1: A Killer Matching Set
As you've probably picked up on by now... I'm a sucker for a great matching set! It creates a full look and can easily be dramatic yet simple and chic. The best part? It's SO easy to put together. I styled THIS Free People polka dot set with a fun pair of retro sunglasses ($9 on amazon!!!) a statement earring, simple straw cross body and a bold pair of heeled booties.
Outfit 2: A Flirty Floral Dress + Wide Brimmed Hat
Not much says Summer like a sun dress! I love the idea of a flirty, breezy sundress for this Summer's festival. THIS dress is from one of my very favorite local boutiques, Alice and Wonder (she has the cutest pieces at an amazing price point). I went with my go-to wide brimmed straw hat to really make it a full "lewk" if ya know what I mean. I love the way a big hat looks but it's also so practical when you're in the sun all day! Protect that gorgeous face of yours! I decided on a simple comfortable white sneaker and a mini Gucci backpack from Bag Borrow or Steal so I can dance hands free!
Outfit 3: Go Boho! Bell Bottoms & A Kimono
One of my favorite festival styles is full on boho! I found this fun look at Free People and am slightly obsessed. It's not my normal style but I absolutely love a printed kimono paired with bell bottoms! This look is so comfortable and the color palette keeps it soft. I wanted to do something fun and different so I used Loreal's Colorista one wash out hair color to dye my pony tail pink!
Can't wait to see you and your festival looks at Lolla!
