Life Lately
Life has been a whirlwind lately! I’ve been fairly quiet here because honestly, it’s been hard to find the time to write even an Instagram caption! I was looking through recent photos and decided to share a quick little life update, some favorite photos, links and just general sharing of life lately. Been feeling very grateful for this wild ride of life and wanted to fill you in a little more! Let’s break down life lately. Love ya’ll!
July 1 I opened The Studio Chicago. A large photo studio rental and event rental space in the South Loop of Chicago, It’s truly a dream come true and I hope you all can come visit soon!
Had an extravaganza renewing my passport and getting a new photo taken! The whole story is saved to my highlights because it was pretty entertaining. Wore my favorite tank from WSLY that I’ve been living in and bought in multiple colors.
Have had a bunch of opportunities to work with Mom & have her in The Studio which has been so fun! We got to spend some time at Neiman Marcus Michigan ave for work (will never complain about that) and we wore some epic outfits from Veronica Beard, Jonathan Simkhai & Anine Bing.
Have been able to bring all of my favorite people to spend time in The Studio which has been so special. Have been living in jumpsuits (can’t stop drooling over THIS MM6 Maison Margiela & my favorite Agolde 90’s fit jeans (recently bought and tailored two new pairs because they’re that good).
A ton of family came to Chicago for a week from Madison, Miami, Guadalajara and Oregon (Evan surprised us and joined) and we had the best time! It was the first time we were all together in 7 years.Loved every minute!
Two of my closest and oldest friends got married last weekend & two weekends ago. They both had beautiful outdoor weddings. The one pictured above was in her parents backyard- made me so happy to see her so happy! We had such a great time, I’m still tired! I wore linen sets to both which felt breezy, casual and chic! I wore THIS ONE the first weekend and THIS ONE the second. Always eyeing matching sets.
Went back into workout studios requiring proof of vax for a hot second (wore my new matching set from Live The Process that I’m obsessed with) before a new mask mandate was put into place. Very grateful the mask mandate is back and hope it will help save many lives and protect kiddos and the immunocompromised. Get vaccinated, y’all!! Protect each other! It is a great privilege to have access to this vaccine. Much of the world does not have access and would do ANYTHING to get it. Side note: this is actually a big part of the reason my Mexican family was here. My 13 year old cousin was able to get her first vaccine in Chicago, they will come back for her second and both of her parents made two trips to Houston to get theirs).
Celebrated Dad’s 65th birthday with his first visit to The Studio and had dinner at a new Chicago spot, Gioia which instantly became a favorite. You have to try! It was a 10/10. Already have an outdoor res in a few weeks!
Got back on the photo tip train! Things had been so crazy with the opening of The Studio that I barely had time for anything let alone filming reels! So happy to be back! Showed off some new aviators in a recent reel. Sam told me I look like a 70’s male porn star in them, just need to grow the stache. I don’t know what you think, but I’m into them! They’re Ray-Ban!
Puppy galore- the best!
Starting designing merch for The Studio which I am STOKED for! Using THIS COMPANY & it’s been an amazing process so far. Can’t wait to share with y’all!
Expedited my passport to be renewed after my crazy passport photo journey. Thank goodness I did because something v exciting popped up!
Had Evan back home for the first time in a year! It was the best! Clearly we both inherited the band tee gene. MadeWorn Rock is my favorite brand if you don’t want to do the full splurge on an authentic vintage band one! I miss him so much and can’t believe it’s been over a year since he moved into the van!!
Picked up tennis again this Summer which has been the best thing ever! Morgan and I have been taking lessons with Toss & Spin and having so much fun! Been living in my Alo Yoga gear for tennis and on the daily! Taking tennis lessons was one of the best decisions I made all year!
Had a great friend visit from NYC and we got to planning some exciting things!
Chopped my hair the shortest it’s ever been! I go to Krysta at Base Salon in the West Loop and she is THE BEST! Mention my name for $20 off!
Did the biggest closet edit I’ve ever done thanks to my friend, Kim! Chicago fam- hire her to help clean out your closet! It’s made me so much calmer at home having my closets feel organized and easy to access!!! HER WEBSITE IS HERE! p.s. her style is amazing and she has me coveting… well, a lot of things. But she recently put my eyes on some new Ganni. SWOON.
Decorated for my best friends birthday! Did balloons from LUFT (the best of the best) and florals from City Scents (also the best) and it was a huge hit! She was so happy and love getting quality time together. Had a gazillion questions about that dress and wouldn’t you know it, it’s also Ganni (a couple years old though- I’m sorry)!!!
