Cocktail attire: velvet jumpsuit
I've always loved getting dressed up. It's fun to be able to feel fancy every once in a while! Recently, (out of nowhere) I'v had a few events that were either black tie or cocktail attire. I love wearing a dress. But, a jumpsuit is a super fun way to change it up and rock something a little different. PLUS it's an added bonus in the winter because you're not completely freezing. Not too long ago I found this velvet jumpsuit at American Apparel and immediately fell in love. Not only does the velvet look luxe but it feels oh so luxe and so good on your body!
There are a few things I look for in a jumpsuit to guarantee a put together look. First, a tailored leg with pockets. This will elongate the look of your legs with some added comfort, it's always fun to have pockets when you're dressed up! The next thing I look for is a cinched waist. It doesn't need to be much, but you don't want to completely lose your shape. A jumpsuit is also very versatile. It's simple to wear a jumpsuit casually or dressed up.
