Office Sneak Peek!
The office is coming along! As someone used to taking calls in the car, editing videos en route to the studio and answering emails while walking the dogs, I could not be more excited for my first true office space. I wanted the space to feel warm and Parisian inspired - a nod to my favorite city and source of inspiration.
I looked to local makers and vintage shops to layer in pieces that tell a story and build a sense of lived-in warmth and character in the room. We started with the bones of the space — Mike Rippe created these incredible closet doors with custom molding that make me feel like I’m in a sweet little flat in Paris. Later this month he’ll be installing a custom wall-to-wall built in dresser that and I cannot WAIT to have a spot to organize my jewelry and style with all of my collected treasures.
The desk is a Facebook Marketplace find of a lifetime: a vintage Heckman writing desk in the most gorgeous dark chocolate finish. I paired it with a vintage chair that Vintage Grind House reupholstered in this cozy cream bouclé. It was my Bubby’s chair & I love being surrounded by her things- it feels like she’s with me. I already had this Arhaus pillow that happened to match the upholstery perfectly. We’re taking bets on if I’ll actually sit down to work here or if old habits die hard and I’ll keep answering emails on the go. :)
We got a little scrappy with the incredible ceiling light fixture. I fell in love with this Serge Mouille ceiling lamp at Design Within Reach, but not the $8K price tag. I created a Parisian look by sourcing this vintage-inspired ceiling medallion and pairing it with this amazing ceiling lamp dupe from Vakkerlight.
